Hello! My name is Sydney Radford, and I am so excited to be teaching Math and Social Studies at TMMS this year! I am truly looking forward to getting to know each of my students and working together throughout the school year.

In our Math classroom, we will explore new mathematical concepts, build important problem-solving skills, and discover how mathematics connects to the world around us. Throughout the year, students will be encouraged to ask questions, explain their thinking, learn from mistakes, and challenge themselves to grow as confident and capable mathematicians. My goal is to create a positive and supportive learning environment where every student feels comfortable participating, taking risks, and asking for help when needed.

In Social Studies, we will explore the geography, history, government, economics, and cultures of regions around the world, including Latin America, the Caribbean, Canada, Europe, and Australia. Throughout the year, students will develop important skills by analyzing maps, exploring historical events, examining different cultures and governments, and making meaningful connections between what we learn and the world around us.

I believe that every student has the ability to learn and succeed when they are willing to put forth effort and remain open to learning. Our classroom will be a place where students are expected to be respectful, responsible, and active participants in their own learning. I look forward to celebrating student growth, accomplishments, and successes throughout the year.
