Hellllllloooo Class!

We are going to be completing some activities this week on graphing on Coordinate Planes and the DISTANCE BETWEEN Ordered Pairs!
This is NOT supposed to complicate you! It is to further your understanding of graphing on a coordinate plane and the distance between points!
Make sure you are using your notes to complete these assignments.
You may even look back at the Khan Academy videos to help you!

Tasks to complete:

1. Complete the Google Slides activity (link below) named "3 - Distance on the Coordinate Plane - Activity"
- USE NOTES!!

2. Complete the Google Form "Distance on the Coordinate Plane - Exit Ticket"

3. I have attached a quizizz that is great practice to help understand coordinate planes and ordered pairs on them.

As always, message/email me if you have any questions or trouble getting into these assignments.

Coordinate Plane (Week of April 27th)

Hello Class! HAPPPPPY WEDNESDAY!!

Thank you to those who joined our class meeting yesterday!

I am giving you one more short assignment for the week!

PLEASE make sure you have completed Monday's activity before continuing here.

Taks to Complete:

1. Google Slides Activity labeled "Coordinate Plane"

2. Complete Google Form labeled "Coordinate Plane Exit Ticket"

If you participated in the Zoom meeting, you know that this concept is not as difficult as it seems because we've already plotted points on a graph with positive numbers... this is just adding negative numbers into the mix.

As always, if you have ANY questions or concerns, EMAIL/REMIND me! It is hard to respond to all the comments on the assignments so be sure to EMAIL your questions or REMIND message me!

I am looking forward to next week with a LIVE Gimkit! Keep y'all posted!

Thanks,
Ms. O

Integer Practice (Week of April 13th)

HA-HA-HAPPY MONDAY! I hope your spring break was as relaxing as mine!

Be sure to be thinking about your favorite part of your spring break to share with all of us in the next couple of days!

******I have scheduled a Google Meet session TUESDAY because some of you requested a virtual meeting. This meeting is scheduled for 1:30 PM on TUESDAY, April 14th (TOMORROW)! It is to discuss the concept of integers face to face so I can answer any questions you may have! (link for the virtual meeting is attached! Will send out reminder tomorrow morning!) **********

Since we have covered the concepts and practiced.... We are going to start back at the beginning and work our way through the concepts again for mastery!

I am very proud of ALL of you for learning this concept of negative numbers ALL on your own via Google Classroom! I am very impressed!

Tasks to Complete:

1. Below is a link to Khan Academy. I have assigned assignments on there for you to complete over negative numbers / adding and subtracting integers. Remember this is a concept YOU are learning from HOME and I am giving you all the material you need to be successful but since we are distance learning, YOU have to focus and take notes on the material! I have only required the exercises but if you need help, the videos will appear if you click the "hint" button on the screen.

2. Play Prodigy (math game for students) for an hour! I have uploaded an instruction page for you all that also has my class code on it! If you cannot open the document, my class code is: E47ECC
www.prodigygame.com/play

3. Complete the coloring activity attached as a Google Slides Activity called "Identifying Integers Coloring Page". I had fun doing this! Cannot wait to see your master piece! You have to complete the coloring activity BEFORE YOU HIT SUBMIT THIS ASSIGNMENT!

4. I am attaching my YouTube videos again of explaining adding/subtracting and multiplying/dividing.

This is practice for you! Remember to take your time and to not rush through these assignments.

If you have ANY questions, please contact me via Remind, Email, or a Private Comment.

Due:

Adding and Subtracting Integers Word Problem Practice (Week of March 30th) in Google Classroom

Adding and Subtracting Integers Word Problem Practice (Week of March 30th)

Happy Monday!

Be sure to keep up with your notes each week!

Tasks to Complete:
1. Watch both Flocabulary videos and complete the Flocabulary Activities I have assigned to you. Watch my Youtube video as well!

3. Make sure you complete ALL the activities before completing the Verso Feedback Form... My class code is q1qpzj

Remember to do your best work so I can see if you are understanding the concept.

Make sure when you complete the assignment, you turn it back into me in Google Classroom.

I have also attached my Youtube video explaining in further detail about adding/subtracting integers using BOTH methods. I hope it helps!

On Wednesday, we are planning on moving on to Multiplying and Dividing so make sure in the Verso, you tell tell me where you are at with adding/subtracting integers!

My next post will be on Wednesday! Check back then!

Multiplying and Dividing Integers

Hellllllllo Class! I hope your week is going well!

We are HALFWAY to the weekend! Hang in there!! Last post for Math of the week!

Today we will be diving into multiplying and dividing integers! The first video really consists of where the rules of multiplying and diving integers come from. The Flocabulary video will really help you understand the rules of multiplying and dividing integers. Please, please, please do not skip the Flocabulary assignments. I can see who is doing them and I am only having little participation.

Tasks to Complete:
1. Watch videos attached and take in-depth notes. (Pause the video and write the rules of multiplying and dividing integers... pause and write an example of both operations with integers.)
2. Complete the Flocabulary Activities (I can see who is completing and the scores you are making.)
3. Complete the Quizizz Attached (If you do not make higher than a 80, retake the Quizizz. Take your time! I can see how long you spend on a problem so I know who is speeding through!)
4. Make sure you complete ALL the activities before completing the Google Forms "Which Thumb Are You?"

These assignments should be done by Sunday.

I will not be posting assignments next week due to it being our scheduled SPRING BREAK!

Stay Safe!
