Welcome to Mr. Battle's Classroom!

Welcome to my classroom webpage at Thomson-McDuffie Middle School! I am excited to work with our students and families during the 2026–2027 school year. This website will provide important classroom information, learning resources, upcoming assessments, announcements, and other helpful information for students and parents.

I currently teach 6th Grade Science and 7th/8th Grade Small Group Math. My goal is to provide a supportive learning environment where every student can grow academically, build confidence, and experience success. 

Hello! My name is Ricky Battle, and I am a Special Education teacher at Thomson-McDuffie Middle School.

I earned a Bachelor of Science in Religion from Liberty University, a Master of Arts in Teaching in Special Education from Brenau University, and an Education Specialist degree in Special Education from Brenau University. I am also continuing my professional growth through Educational Leadership and instructional coaching training.

I believe every student can learn and grow when provided with high expectations, appropriate support, encouragement, and meaningful opportunities to succeed.

Outside of the classroom, I enjoy serving my community, supporting Thomson athletics, and spending time with my family.
