Meet Your Teacher-Ms. Megan Williams

Hey ya’ll! Welcome to my website! I am excited to be teaching your child 6th grade social studies this year! Here’s some background about me. I am from Burke County. I attended Thomas Jefferson Academy during my adolescence, and I participated in cheerleading and One Act Play while I was in high school. I have an Associate of Arts in Pathway to Nursing from East Georgia State College and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Augusta University. I also am certified to teach 6th through 12th grade U.S. History and World History. In my spare time, I like to spend time with my boyfriend John, hang out with friends and family, play with my 3 dogs, go camping, play video games, and collect vinyl records. My classroom philosophy is I believe that students should have fun while learning because they are more likely to retain the knowledge. So, we will be doing a lot of review games and online activities throughout the year to support this. We are going to have a great year! I look forward to it.
