What is LEGO League?  It is a global robotics community that strives to equip young people for their future.  We are sponsored by Wyatt Construction and John Deere.  Students have the opportunity to work with a mentor engineer from John Deere while programming EV3 and Spike Robots to complete missions.  LEGO League will meet in The Center during first period daily.

 

I am honored to get to work with this year's 8th Grade students as they pursue one of their first high school credits.  Due to the time missed at school last year and the fact that we are just now all getting together to learn, we will have lots to do and will need to move at a fast pace.  Your best practices for success will be attending class daily, paying close attention, asking questions, and keeping up with Google Classroom.    Our units of study are as follows:

 

Unit 1 - Relationships Between Quantities and Expressions

Unit 2 - Reasoning with Linear Equations and Inequalities

Unit 3 - Modeling and Analyzing Quadratic Functions

Unit 4 - Modeling and Analyzing Exponential Functions

Unit 5 - Comparing and Contrasting Functions

Unit 6 - Describing Data
