Bio

Hello my name is Kimberly Jukes Williams. I have been an educator for 20 years and have taught both elementary and middle school. I really like being in the middle in the middle school and am so glad that I teach 7th grade. Language Arts and Social Studies are my content areas of certification and I am reading endorsed. I have an undergraduate degree from Augusta State, a masters degree from Walden University, and a Education Specialist degree from Augusta University. My focus in higher education has always been on teaching literacy.

Welcome to an adventurous year of learning. Students and teachers will be faced with challenges and opportunities like never before. We are indeed living and learning in historical times.
My goal is for my students to leave 7th grade with a strong sense of metacognition. I want them to be able to think about their thought process and evolve into thinking outside of themselves. These young students will become critical thinkers and problem solvers so that they can positively impact the world around them by the speech and actions. I so look forward to teaching and learning this year.
